Objective:
To define the strategic roadmap for integrating high-fidelity well data into rigless intervention ecosystems, empowering operators to make smarter capital allocation decisions and deliver superior, high-confidence production outcomes across mature assets.
Abstract:
In the Asia Pacific region, rigless intervention—utilising coiled tubing, wireline & slickline has become the operational baseline for managing mature assets safely and cost-effectively. However, the true value of these low-impact operations is only unlocked when guided by precise intelligence. This executive plenary will explore the core conference theme, focusing on the strategic shift from reactive, traditional planning to data-driven, predictive execution in rigless campaigns.
Industry leaders will discuss how leveraging advanced well surveillance, real-time downhole telemetry, and cross-operator data sharing empowers the industry to make "Smarter Decisions." This includes accurately identifying the right candidate wells, forecasting tool string performance before deployment, and eliminating the financial risk of "blind" interventions.
The panel will define how this data-first approach guarantees "Better Outcomes," delivering first-time operational success, drastically reduced non-productive time (NPT), minimised carbon footprints, and maximised return on investment (ROI) for late-life regional assets.

The SPE/ICoTA Outstanding Paper Award: SPE and ICoTA recognise the efforts necessary to produce a great quality technical paper, so each year the Program Committee selects the most outstanding paper to be distinguished with the SPE/ICoTA Outstanding Paper Award.
ICoTA 2026 Asia Excellence in Innovation Award: In conjunction with the conference, ICoTA presents the Excellence in Innovation Award to a recipient who has recently brought forth new innovation to the well intervention market. Its purpose is to recognise service company or operator for the application of technical innovation in the area of well intervention in the region associated with the ICoTA Asia chapter (excluding China and Australia Chapter regions). For a candidate to be considered, the submission must demonstrate either some new, groundbreaking application of existing or new technology, with that technology having been applied commercially in the previous 18 months.

Objective:
To explore how operators leverage advanced well surveillance and digital solutions to safely execute both complex workovers for production enhancement and permanent plug and abandonment (P&A), ensuring a seamless, efficient, and regulatory-compliant late-life asset strategy.
Abstract:
As Asia Pacific assets mature, operators must seamlessly transition from production enhancement to safe decommissioning. Once assets enter this "new life" phase, precise downhole diagnostics will play a crucial role in allowing engineering teams confidently execute heavy, complex workovers—such as severe casing repair or completion replacement—to restore well integrity and maximise late-life ROI. High-fidelity surveillance and digital data serve as the strategic bridge across this entire late-life spectrum.
When wells reach their economic limit, the conversation shifts to the "end of life" phase. The panel will explore how the industry is reinventing abandonment by replacing conventional cement with next-generation, rigless alternative barriers.
The session will highlight the ultimate "Data" challenge: utilising advanced acoustic and thermal diagnostics to digitally verify both workover success and permanent barrier integrity. Join the discussion to discover how a unified, data-first approach is breaking down regulatory hurdles and setting a new, highly efficient standard for mature asset management.
