Join us to showcase the value our industry skills have as we transition to alternative energy sources.

It is a long-held purpose of our industry, aligned with SDG7; to provide clean, affordable, sustainable energy to the world, and to play a central and pivotal role in a just energy transition. Today, and as the energy transition progresses, what does that mean for our ‘traditional’ business models, skills profiles and career opportunities for our engineers and G&G professionals?  What are the challenges?  What is being done/can be done?  What is our message to our professionals, learning institutions etc?

The Museum, officially inaugurated last June 5th, is the first example of a permanent exhibition within the Politecnico di Torino University and one of the great historical university collections open to the public in Turin. The museum is set-up in the Department of Environmental, Land and Infrastructure Engineering (DIATI). Visitors can admire over 600 units of minerals and rocks, almost 20 meteorite samples, about 20 models of mining art, mine technology and mineral treatment, as well as historical equipment for the mining industry. 

The guided tour is offered by Politecnico di Torino - DIATI as a side event of the SPE Europe Energy Conference 2024.   

Two meeting points are scheduled: 
•    at 6.00 pm at SPE Conference Venue, Exhibition area, Politecnico di Torino – DIATI Stand. The transfer to Politecnico di Torino will be by metro. 
•    at 6.25 pm in front of Politecnico di Torino Main Campus, Corso Duca degli Abruzzi 24
