Gas turbine systems play a critical role in facilitating an energy transition towards a set of diverse and cleaner energy systems, to support secure and reliable energy infrastructure that is critical for Canada's industrial and economic performance.  For over 50 years the 'Gas Turbines for Energy Network' (GTEN) has been Canada's trusted hub for gas turbine system expertise and knowledge-sharing.  These systems consist of efficient peak electric power and combined cycle systems with fuel flexibility to complement renewable energy, or provide gas pipeline and offshore compression, industrial cogeneration, and district energy systems for communities.

    Presentations:
Hydrogen Systems, Safety and Emissions Reductions
    George Hajecek, MDS Aero

    Environmental Issues and Emission Standards

GTEN will partner with the SPE and CHWG on a one-day technical training event in the Delta Hotel in downtown Calgary on Oct 9. This course covers basic equipment design details, plant examples, hydrogen and CCS integration, providing networking opportunities and Professional Development education credits.

This is a ticketed event and registration information is coming soon.

The ‘Gas Turbines for Energy Network’ (GTEN, former IAGT) group has been active for 50 years, dealing with technical outreach, plant tours and networking among about 20 companies that provide gas turbine system equipment and maintenance services across North America.
