The inaugural 2027 SPE Well Integrity Symposium is designed to unite operators, regulators, service companies, technology providers and industry experts with a clear purpose: to drive more robust, forward-looking approaches to well integrity management. By structuring discussions around the full well lifecycle, the symposium aims to critically examine how decisions made during well design, delivery, operations, intervention and abandonment shape long-term integrity outcomes and risk exposure.
With a strong focus on actionable insight, the symposium will address the pressing challenges of mature assets, field life extension, and legacy well management, while promoting risk-based decision-making that balances operational performance, safety and regulatory compliance. It will also actively explore how emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence, automation, predictive analytics and digitalisation—can be leveraged to enhance integrity assurance and workforce capabilities.
