From DDAA to AI: Advancing Digital Decision-Making in Upstream

Upstream oil and gas operators across Asia Pacific are experiencing a major shift in how data and digital technologies drive exploration, development, and production decisions. While Digital, Data Analytics, and Automation (DDAA) is firmly established, organisations now face growing data volumes, increasing subsurface complexity, and rising expectations for faster, more reliable decision-making.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as the next evolution of DDAA, integrating with advanced analytics to amplify existing capabilities. The SPE Workshop: AI – The Next Evolution of DDAA will explore this transition using Malaysia’s AI landscape as reference while drawing insights across Asia Pacific. Participants will gain perspectives on AI adoption, early implementation experiences, strategic alignment, and pathways to scalable, value-driven deployment.
