Asia Pacific's deepwater resource base is proven. Turning it into production faster and at lower cost is the unfinished work. The SPE Symposium: Asia Pacific Deepwater returns on 11 - 12 May 2027 in Kuala Lumpur to take that on directly. Over two days, operators, national oil companies, contractors, technology providers, regulators, and academics address the decisions that determine whether projects reach Final Investment Decision (FID) and first production.
Asia Pacific has the opportunity to become a global benchmark for fit-for-purpose deepwater development. With a significant pipeline of undeveloped resources, evolving technologies, and an increasing focus on affordability, the region is well positioned to pioneer development approaches that shorten cycle times, improve capital efficiency, and accelerate the journey from discovery to first production.
