  • Manuscript submission is COMPULSORY for this conference. Template and forms are available in the above link. All manuscripts will be published in OnePetro on the first day of the event.
  • Please start preparing your manuscript now and seek any necessary internal or external approvals early.
  • SPE does not have a page or word limit for manuscripts (advisable about 3000 – 5000 words, OR average manuscript length is 8-12 pages (including figures and tables).

  • Authors are allowed to amend the title and abstract, stating significant new information and conclusion. However, if the abstract and/or the content of the manuscript differ significantly from the original abstract submission (which was reviewed and accepted by the programme committee), the programme committee has the right to withdraw your paper from the conference programme.

Attendance to the Conference

  • The conference is an in-person event, and authors MUST register and attend to present their paper.
  • The failure of authors to have at least one author or designated individual participate in-person at the time of the live presentation to present and/or answer questions will result in the paper being permanently withdrawn from the SPE technical paper archive in OnePetro.

Technical Sessions and ePoster Sessions

You will have 15 minutes for your presentation and any Q&A ( 15  minutes presentation time and 5 minutes Q&A). Per the guidelines provided, please be sure to include the following information in the header or footer on each slide:
  • Paper number
  • Paper title
  • Presenter's name
  • Slide number (ex: Slide 1 of 10)
  • Only the first and last slide should contain your company name/logo

Please submit your PowerPoint presentation to the Presentation Management Site for the committee/session chairs to review prior to the conference.  Please bring the final version of the presentation to the conference on a USB drive, as a backup copy.

Upon your arrival at the venue, please report to Author/Speaker Check-In Room to confirm your participation at your scheduled time.

ePoster Speakers:

  • Please be prepared to fill in during a technical session should there be a no-show or late withdraw.
  • You will need to be at the ePoster station 15 minutes before the ePoster session starts. This gives you time to check and ensure that your slides are in order.
