About

Across Asia Pacific, many producing fields are now mature brownfield assets facing declining output, rising operating costs, ageing infrastructure, and increasingly stringent regulatory and HSSE requirements. Incremental improvements are no longer sufficient; maximising value requires fully integrated brownfield strategies with asset integrity and process safety embedded directly into technical and commercial decision making.

This workshop convenes operators, service providers, and researchers to share practical case studies on brownfield optimisation. Topics include data-driven decisions, digitalisation, AI-enabled analytics, predictive maintenance, and asset integrity management systems – all aimed at balancing technical risk, operational reliability, cost efficiency, and HSSE performance. The workshop will showcase actionable frameworks to enhance production, extend asset life, and strengthen resilience.

This workshop will bring together operators, service providers, and researchers from across the region to share case studies, exchange lessons learnt and discuss late-life strategies that deliver measurable value. Sessions will explore topics such as production optimisation, digital twins, AI-based integrity monitoring, and data-centric decision models that balance OPEX, ABEX, and ESG performance. –

Participants will gain practical frameworks for managing ageing assets—from life extension and repurposing to decommissioning planning and execution. Asia Pacific is uniquely positioned to lead the next phase of intelligent brownfield management—transforming regulatory and operational challenges into opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable value creation.
