Gas continues to play a vital role in Asia’s energy landscape, while gas field development is becoming increasingly complex as operators balance technical challenges, project economics, production performance, and sustainability.
The SPE Gas Field Development Workshop will bring together industry professionals, technical experts, operators, and technology providers to share practical experiences, innovative technologies, and lessons learned across the gas field lifecycle.
The workshop will cover key aspects of gas field development, including subsurface evaluation, field development planning, drilling and completions, production optimisation, facilities and gas processing, asset management, digitalisation, technology innovation, and project economics. Discussions will also address the development of challenging, mature and marginal gas resources, as well as strategies to improve efficiency and maximise asset value.
With a focus on practical case studies, technical insights, and regional perspectives, the workshop will provide an interactive platform for participants to exchange knowledge, explore emerging solutions, and build connections across the gas value chain.
Held in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, the workshop will also provide an opportunity to discuss the evolving gas development landscape in Malaysia and the wider Asia Pacific region.
