It is my great privilege and pleasure to welcome you to the 2024 SPE Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition Americas, 20–22 August 2024, The Woodlands, Texas.
The theme of this year’s conference is “Surveillance and Optimization through the Generations.” In today’s world, where five generations work side by side to guide our industry into the future, it is important to remember where we came from, who we are and where we are going. We hope this year’s theme will bring new thought and reflection to our members and bring insight to our young professionals and potential talent needed to accomplish our goals.
Our program committee is composed of amazing leaders, industry experts and visionaries. It is an honor to work within their ranks to shape this year’s exciting new program.
Program committee Vice-Chair and artificial lift expert Willy Manfoumbi will lead an exciting Panel Discussion on Tuesday Morning to capture industry experts’ point of view on surveillance, adapting to an ever-changing landscape and navigating through multi-generational teams.
Following the panel session, an exciting technical program will include papers and knowledge sharing poster sessions on the latest artificial lift system designs; artificial lift deployment, surveillance, and optimization, and finally modern digitalization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence techniques focused on oil and gas applications. This conference brings together experts and AL practitioners of all levels from major IOCs, NOCs, and independent operators to discuss the latest advancements in artificial lift technology. On Tuesday, a Legends in Artificial Lift Awards luncheon will introduce this year’s award recipients who deserve extraordinary recognition for their outstanding contribution to our industry and for the support and inspiration they provide us and the next generation. On Wednesday, Dr. Jennifer Miskimmins, will offer testimonial on her exceptional career and how we can keep the new generation engaged and what we can do, as an industry, to safeguard our future.
