SPE/ARMA Workshop:
Subsurface Storage from
Characterization to Implementation

16–17 September 2025 | Conroe, Texas

This joint SPE/ARMA workshop on subsurface storage will facilitate a comprehensive discussion among experts in the areas of geoscience, geomechanics, reservoir, completions, and production engineering, with a focus on the advancement and integration of geological storage applications and challenges.

Widely studied areas, such as underground gas storage, carbon sequestration, acid gas injection, and waste/wastewater disposal, are increasingly joined by emerging efforts such as hydrogen storage/production, subsurface storage of critical minerals and rare earth elements, and a range of energy storage solutions, such as compressed air, pumped subsurface hydro-storage, and hybrid geothermal-storage solutions. Together, these technologies will provide significant support for future energy developments.
