11: Optimizing Well Integrity: Effective Methods for Lifespan Extension
In wells that have experienced excessive wear on the well structure and casing, there is significant uncertainty that current numerical methods can address. It is not always technically and economically feasible to remove a production string solely to assess the remaining thickness of the production casing or to hire a rig that has less impact on the wellhead system. This section describes techniques and alternatives to provide information and enable the extension of the well's life through a workover.
