9. Rig Models for Light Workover Intervention

06 Mar 2026
Wayana Ballroom

In this session participants will explore the different modes for delivering light well interventions (LWI) on subsea wells, as an alternative to conventional drilling rigs. The session will discuss the benefits and disadvantages of each mode (riserbased, riserless, semi-sub, monohull etc), understand how new technologies are expanding the well stock that can be efficiently addressed with LWI and review some interesting case studies from recent LWI projects globally.
