Transforming Stranded Gas into Strategic Energy Assets
Stranded gas assets in the Asia Pacific face challenges such as limited infrastructure, variable gas quality, high costs, and ageing facilities, yet they remain essential to the region’s energy supply. Unlocking these resources requires tailored solutions like floating or small-scale LNG, virtual pipelines, and clustering of marginal fields, supported by close collaboration between operators and regulators. Efficient production also depends on innovative designs, advanced technologies, operational efficiency, and enhanced recovery techniques, enabling operators to balance output with cost through data-driven decisions.
This workshop will explore practical strategies to unlock stranded gas in the Asia Pacific, with a focus on advanced technologies, innovative thinking, policy and fiscal frameworks, as well as practical case studies. Participants will gain insights into how integrating sustainability with smarter design, leaner facilities and outcome-based contracting can transform high-contaminant gas into reliable energy contributors.
