John Cartwright is a Production Engineer with over a decade of experience in the oil and gas industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (2012) and began his career that same year. John joined Canadian Natural Resources Limited in 2014, working on the Conventional Production team until 2021. He is currently part of CNRL’s Thermal Production team and, since 2025, has been involved in the Jackfish redevelopment program, supporting planning, optimization, and execution efforts. John is passionate about continuous improvement in the planning and delivery of redevelopment and development projects. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his two young children and getting outdoors to bike, hike, camp, and play hockey.
