Offshore well completions in the Asia Pacific region are at a pivotal stage, requiring innovative solutions to balance growing energy demands with cost efficiency and sustainability.

The region’s diverse geological environments, ranging from mature fields to deepwater frontiers, call for tailored completion strategies that optimise production, unlock complex reservoirs, and comply with evolving environmental regulations. These operations involve significant investment and face technical challenges, particularly in managing multilateral wells and horizontal drilling. An increasing number of operators are integrating advanced carbon capture, utilisation, and storage (CCUS) technologies into completion designs to reduce emissions and support long-term sustainability goals. At the same time, they are implementing fit-for-purpose approaches that enhance economic efficiency while maintaining well integrity and safety. Artificial intelligence and machine learning are also playing a growing role, improving completion design and risk assessment, driving more efficient offshore resource development.

This workshop aims to explore and discuss innovative, fit-for-purpose offshore well completion solutions that enhance operational efficiency and field development economics. It will promote collaboration and facilitate exchange of technological advancements and field experiences in offshore well completions. Furthermore, the workshop will provide a platform for participants to engage with industry experts, foster networking opportunities, deepen knowledge, and enhance skills through the sharing of best practices.
