Session 7: Uncertainty Driven Digital Workflows for Real-Time Multiphase Flow Metering
The common theme of this session is the use of multiphase flow meters (MPFMs) as a central tool for improving measurement quality and real-time production surveillance in unconventional shale developments, while explicitly tackling measurement uncertainty. The presentations emphasize moving beyond traditional, periodic well-test and separator-based validation toward continuous, digitally-enabled workflows that blend MPFMs with physics-guided analytics, AI/ML, and edge-to-cloud architectures to detect errors, quantify uncertainty, and support better, real-time operational decisions throughout the well life cycle.
Chairs: Daniel Sequeira, Haimo America; Adam Angelle, Weatherford
Speakers:
- AI- Assisted, Uncertainty-Based Validation of MPFMs in Allocation Service
Eric Smith, Robbie Lansangan, Intelligent Measurement Solutions - Evaluating MPFM Performance for High GVF Flowback Application in Marcellus Basin
Asher Imam, Quantum Measurement - A Permian Case Study on the Real Time Analysis and Management of Well Performance Utilizing MPFM and ESP
Darryl Tompkins, Revo Testing Technologies
