The energy landscape is undergoing a rapid transformation, presenting unprecedented challenges to the oil and gas industry. This warrants more prudent approaches in managing our assets. Our workshop, "Managing Reserves and Resources in a Changing Energy Landscape, Realigning towards a Low Carbon Future," on the theme of "Navigating the Energy Industry towards Long-Term Growth and Sustainability," aims to address the challenges faced by the industry.
Reporting compliant recoverable volumes has become increasingly important as the driver of various business decisions across NOCs, IOCs, small and medium-sized operators, and regulators operating in this turbulent energy scenario. We aim to leverage industry expertise to discuss reserves and resources business models and reimage the economic outlook to strategise and transform portfolio management with cost reduction initiatives to deliver real value to the industry.
The workshop will discuss resource management with an understanding of carbon capture, utilisation, and the typical modes of storage of carbon dioxide in saline aquifers and depleted oil and gas fields. It will feature case studies and best practices from the industry and explore how PRMS and SRMS can be used to transform the energy landscape.
