Astriyana Bt Anuar is currently supporting Front End Engineering (Upstream) for PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd, based in Kuala Lumpur. She graduated from University Technology PETRONAS with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and master’s degree in petroleum engineering. With 17 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Astriyana has held various roles, majorly as Upstream Process and Flow Assurance engineer. Her past experience includes hands-on experience in design, simulations, and troubleshooting operational process and flow assurance issues (e.g., wax, hydrate) across various phases, including exploration, development, operations, and abandonment. She has worked on projects both in Malaysia and overseas, including secondments supporting operations in Egypt Deepwater field and Mauritania Deepwater Development Decommissioning. Astriyana has authored and co-authored/published several papers and written several guidelines/standards used by PETRONAS and presented at local and international conferences, mainly by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). She has also been involved in enterprise-level activities such as Joint Industry projects, in-house R&D activities, technology developments, and business improvement programs. She has developed few in-house technologies focusing on Flow Assurance automation, fluid data/digitalization and model improvements. Currently, Astriyana is a trainer of two official PETRONAS courses namely "Fluid and Phase Behaviour" and "Flow Assurance Master Class".
