Abigail Lian De Cruz is a Senior Production Chemist with Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd. She has 10 years hands on experience in the upstream oil and gas operation with hands on experience in oilfield chemical applications, fluid sampling and testing, water injection, cooling water, scale treatment, emulsion, sludge handling, wax, hydrates and contract management. She had been assigned working roles in Malaysia asset as well in center within the scope of flow assurance and production chemistry. She uses transient modelling as a tool to make some flow assurance management decisions. She is also an active member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, being a secretary of Sabah Section in 2019-2021. She graduated from the University of Tulsa, Oklahoma with a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering.
