Presentation Title: Well Control Assurance

Bio: Alaa Galal is a seasoned energy professional with over 18 years of diverse experience in drilling, completions, and subsea operations. He began his career in drilling engineering and field supervision, supporting both exploratory and development wells. After a decade in frontline operations, Alaa transitioned into the Subsea and Intervention organization, where he expanded his technical breadth and leadership capabilities.

In 2018, Alaa was promoted to team lead for Egypt, managing a multidisciplinary team to deliver complex subsea well objectives. In June 2020, he rejoined the drilling team as a Senior Drilling Engineer, leading the delivery of high-profile wells in the Mediterranean region.

Throughout his career, Alaa has built deep expertise in designing and executing technically challenging wells, while also working closely with governmental partners and non-operated joint ventures to ensure alignment and operational excellence.
