Ahmed Elsherif is a Principal Petrophysics Consultant with more than 40 years of experience in the upstream sector.

He began his professional life in 1981 as a wireline engineer at Schlumberger Oilfield Services (SLB). After 37 years, he retired and began his freelance teaching. He is also a Next Certified instructor and has taught open-hole / cased-hole / LWD logging and interpretation training programs for several customers in the Middle East.

He is one of the keynote speakers at several international SPE / SPWLA events and has also published several papers over the past few years.

Furthermore, he is now working at NESR as an LWD / Well Placement Domain Champion covering Middle East and North Africa.
