Session 3: Drilling and Well intervention
Chairs: Constantino Nino, CNOOC Brasil; Carolina Barros, Kongsberg Digital
The drilling and well interventions domains are undergoing a major transformation, driven by the increasing integration of digital technologies and data-centric approaches. Over the past decades, these activities have generated vast volumes of operational and subsurface data. Today, advanced analytics, automation, and Artificial Intelligence are unlocking new opportunities to enhance drilling performance, reduce operational risks, and optimize well interventions. This session will explore how digital solutions—ranging from real-time data platforms to predictive models and autonomous systems—are reshaping the way we plan, execute, and manage well construction and intervention activities. Case studies and discussions will focus on how digitalization is accelerating decision-making, improving safety, and reducing costs across the well lifecycle.
