Asia Pacific Wells Week

14–15 MAY 2024 | KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The SPE Workshop: Asia Pacific Wells Week returns to Kuala Lumpur, providing a platform for the wells community to exchange knowledge on industry challenges and commercially effective practices.

Wells development and management in the Asia Pacific region have become pivotal components of the global oil and gas industry, reflecting the region's increasing energy demands and economic significance.

Current trends in the sector include a notable shift toward digitalisation and automation. Artificial intelligence, IoT, and data analytics play a crucial role in real-time monitoring and predictive maintenance. Additionally, there is a growing interest in unlocking unconventional resources such as shale gas and tight oil. Sustainability has also taken centre stage, with companies adopting environmentally responsible practices, including emissions reduction, water management, and carbon capture and storage. Furthermore, exploration has extended to deepwater and ultra-deepwater regions, necessitating advanced drilling technologies and heightened safety measures.
