Pedro Artola
Pedro Artola has been the Western Hemisphere Stimulation Domain Advisor for SLB’s Reservoir Performance Division since November 2020. He is based in Sugar Land, TX, and is responsible for the deployment of stimulation technologies and provides reservoir stimulation technical support to SLB customers across America, Europe, and West Africa.
Previously, Pedro held several technical positions with different business lines and geographies in SLB. His positions include field engineer, district technical engineer, production stimulation engineer, production optimization engineer, stimulation knowledge delivery manager, and stimulation domain manager.
Pedro holds a BSc in petroleum engineering from Universidad Central of Venezuela and a MSc in exploration and production from IFP School in Rueil-Malmaison, France. He has worked mainly in Latin America, including Venezuela, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and Ecuador. He has also worked in Asia and has spent the last twelve years in North America. His oil and gas career started 30 years ago, joining SLB in 1995 as stimulation field engineer. He has been an active member of SPE since 1998.
