Anya Albot
Geoscientist by background, 8 years working in the oil and gas industry across a global portfolio of projects. Joined Woodside Energy in the Perth office in 2017 as an exploration geologist working offshore Gabon and Congo, West Africa. Transitioned to a geohazard analyst role supporting well design, placement and risk assessment for development projects in the Northwest Shelf of Australia. Subsequently worked as a development geologist on gas infill drilling in the Dampier Sub-basin, followed by a role in near-field exploration in the Carnarvon Basin (offshore Australia). From 2022 led well planning and geosteering for the Sangomar deepwater oil development offshore Senegal, overseeing the design and execution of deepwater, extended reach horizontal producers and injectors. Prior to joining Woodside, spent three years as a research and teaching assistant at Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, contributing to geoscience research projects, and delivering undergraduate laboratory lectures. Joined Rystad Energy at the beginning of 2025 as a lead in drilling and well research within the supply chain team.
