SPE/PEDHA Workshop:
Fueling the Future: Petroleum
Engineering Industry/Education
in a New Era

8–9 August 2024 | University of Houston | Houston, Texas, USA

Petroleum engineering stands at a critical juncture where a synergy between industry and academia is essential for shaping a more prosperous future for the petroleum industry.

The energy landscape has not changed as fast as the public opinion of traditional energy resources. While the oil and gas industry is publicizing new energies, petroleum engineering programs are missing the enrollment targets to support the industry in the long term.

This meeting will discuss these challenges to navigate a new era with clear expectations, and building some initiatives and action plans to address these challenges.
