Rigless Intervention Best Practices for Coiled Tubing, Slickline, and Wireline

This course is designed to provide knowledge and understanding of surface equipment, downhole tools, various applications, and operational contingencies for rigless well interventions involving coiled tubing, slickline, or wireline.  The participants will learn first-hand knowledge of the capability of each intervention and what to consider when choosing which intervention method to utilize.

Introduction to Coiled Tubing Operations

The course will provide participants with a basic knowledge of coiled tubing operations and the equipment utilized to deploy it in the field. It will highlight key pre- job design parameters required for successful field operations. Participants will also have the opportunity to utilize coiled tubing modeling software during the course to better understand the impact of changing field job parameters on the outcome of the field operation.

Installation and Workover Control Systems (IWOCS)

This course provides participants with a background review of subsea production control systems and specific knowledge of Intervention Work-Over Control Systems (IWOCS) as they interact with subsea productions systems. This is followed by an interactive class discussion of operations scenarios, illustrating IWOCS usage and some situational challenges encountered during subsea hardware installation and well interventions.
