Subsea Well Intervention - TechnipFMC

Message from the Program Committee Chairpersons

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the program committee, we are pleased to invite you to join us at the 2026 SPE Subsea Well Intervention Symposium on 25–27 August 2026, in Galveston, Texas.

Following our highly successful 2025 event, we are excited to share the engagement in the committee representing operators, service companies, and suppliers who bring a wide view of operations and opportunities. We are all eager to collaborate to enable and outpace change in subsea well interventions.

This event is a unique opportunity to share with industry peers, with unparalleled access to leaders in the subsea intervention space. Themed, Strategies for Managing an Evolving Energy Landscape, this symposium explores how economical intervention strategies can unlock value across all markets dynamics, emphasizing the need for cost-effective, scalable, and sustainable solutions. As operators face increasing pressure to do more with less, the ability to extend well life, optimize production, and defer abandonment becomes a strategic imperative.

In 2025 the show welcomed attendees representing operators, academia, service companies, equipment suppliers, and government officials. Intervention activity is increasing globally, and we hope to continue to expand global capability and encourage you to join us to share your learnings and ideas on advancing the industry:

  • Over 460 participants, a 23% increase from 2024 and a 59% increase from 2023.
  • more than 125 companies, which is a 25% increase from 2024, and
  • attendees from 13 different countries, compared to 9 countries in 2024.

Don’t take our word for it, this is what some of the 2025 attendees said

The content of the presentation, the involvement of the customers and service partners is top notch. The event is focused and brings great learning, drives innovation, and builds resilience for the future.
The symposium was focused and relevant to my area of operations. There were a good number of companies there that I wanted to speak to and a high percentage of the presentations were directly relevant to my work in well management and interventions.
Rare that technical speakers share the challenges and how they overcome them or not. I have always thought that this is what sets this symposium apart from others.

We look forward to seeing you in Galveston!

Sincerely,

Bonham
