Dr. Alarifi is an Associate Professor in the Petroleum Engineering Department at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM). He received his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, Golden, Colorado, USA. He received his MS and BS in Petroleum Engineering from KFUPM. Dr. Alarifi has published several technical papers and reports on various areas of research related to petroleum engineering. He has taught courses in Petroleum Economics, Reservoir Description and Unconventional Resources Evaluation. He is an active SPE member since 2010 and currently serving as the faculty advisor for the SPE-KFUPM student chapter.
