Max Easley is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at PETRONAS Canada, a subsidiary of the Malaysian-based PETRONAS. With over 30 years of international experience in the energy sector, Max brings a wealth of knowledge in both upstream and downstream operations, strategic leadership, and innovation in energy solutions. Since joining as COO in March 2022, he has overseen all of PETRONAS Canada's operations, including all aspects of production and development.  

Prior to his role at PETRONAS, Max held senior leadership roles at BP PLC and Apache Corporation, including in Alaska, the North Sea, the Permian and Trinidad.  As both COO and CFO, Max has led numerous successful projects across the globe in operational and business optimization.  Max holds a degree in Engineering and is a passionate advocate for workforce development in the energy sector. He has spoken at several international forums and industry conferences on topics related to engineering innovation, sustainability in energy, and leadership in complex industries. 

 Outside of his professional role, Max is an avid supporter of STEM education and mentoring young engineers, believing in the importance of developing the next generation of leaders to drive forward the future of energy.
