07 Gassy Well Applications / Operations
Thursday, 28 August
Grand Ballroom - Level 2
Technical Session
ESPs used in gassy wells encounter significant challenges, such as gas locking, diminished pump performance, increased wear and tear, and operational instability. High volumes of free gas can cause the pump to become filled with gas instead of liquid, resulting in efficiency losses and potential equipment damage. Incorporating advanced technology, adhering to best practices, and using optimal design criteria are crucial to addressing these challenges and enhancing ESP performance while managing operational costs. This session will offer an opportunity to explore various approaches to improve ESP performance in gassy well applications.
