Abdullah Al-Mutairi, is currently working as Manager-Production & Projects (Gas) – G&E Directorate at Kuwait Oil Company.

Mr. Abdullah Mutairi, is an accomplished leader in the field of Project Management and sour gas production/treatment of Onshore surface facilitioes.  A graduate Mechanical Engineer from University of Arizona at Tucson, with nearly 28 years of upstream Oil & Gas experience in Conventional Oil, Gas and Heavy Oil projects & Sour Gas Production areas of Kuwait oil Company. He executed more than 2 Billion USD worth successful & fast track Sour Gas Production/treatment Facilities, Flow Lines and Pipe line projects (JPFs) through integrated skid mounted package approach & improved Build Own Operate basis at KOC which are currently producing more than 600 MMSCFD free gas for the  state of Kuwait.

As a deputy chairman of Energy Transition Committee at KOC, he is actively pursuing the challenges and opportunities associated KPC Energy Transition initiatives with specific focus on projects related to CCUS, production of low carbon hydrogen and its derivatives along with renewable power.  

Striving for excellence in implementation of projects with Optimized CAPEX/OPEX solutions coupled with new Technologies, digitalization initiatives and inherent safety systems is his passion.
