Panel
Hydrogen offers a scalable, low-carbon solution for industries ranging from transportation to heavy manufacturing. Subsurface hydrogen storage and production is gaining traction as a large-scale solution for storing and producing hydrogen, crucial for a future energy system reliant on renewable energy. Experts in hydrogen production, infrastructure, and market integration will share their insights on the technologies and strategies that are accelerating hydrogen adoption for energy transition, and the challenges that the industry is facing in innovation, regulatory frameworks and economic viability. This session will also focus on how past experiences with gas storage and carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) can be utilized in the development of hydrogen storage technologies, particularly underground hydrogen storage.
