Countdown to 2024 SPE Gaia Summit
Creating actions to address the planet's sustainability challenges
SPE Gaia Summit takes place in conjunction with the Oman Sustainability Week, 30 April 2024–1 May 2024, with the aim of fostering sustainability leadership, the two-day Gaia Summit covers highly interactive sessions allowing participants to engage in deep discussions with experts and peers about the opportunities and challenges of connecting systemic complexities with their day-to-day operational practices and decision-making.
The Gaia Summit is organized by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), a not-for-profit professional association with over 119,000 members in 138 countries from the traditional energy industry. It is the only global event by the SPE addressing areas of sustainability that allows global energy leaders and government authorities to engage in closed forums such as fireside chats and fishbowls, to discuss, learn, collaborate, and progress the energy transition.

Attending this summit supports the E&P industry
The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit organization. Income from this event will be invested back into SPE to support many other Society programs.
When you attend an SPE event, you help provide even more opportunities for industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence. Scholarships, certification, the Distinguished Lecturer program, and SPE’s energy education program Energy4me® are just a few examples of programs supported by SPE.
