This session explores surfactant-based enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies tailored for unconventional Permian Basin reservoirs, addressing critical design challenges such as Delaware Basin brine compatibility, iron risk mitigation, and near-wellbore performance diagnostics. Presentations span from laboratory formulation and placement of surfactant systems in high-salinity Delaware Basin environments to field-scale surfactant huff-n-puff treatments targeting connected fracture networks in unconventional reservoirs, illustrating how fit-for-purpose chemical EOR can unlock incremental recovery in complex completions.
