Permian Focused EOR Advancements
Wednesday, 23 September
Ballroom
Technical and Invited Presenter
This session explores surfactant- and gas-based enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methods tailored to the Permian Basin. It highlights key design considerations, including water salinity and chemical compatibility; subsurface challenges, such as inter-well communication through natural and induced fractures; and surface challenges related to infrastructure design, equipment operation, surveillance, and the quantification of incremental recovery. The presentations bring together the knowledge, experience, and perspectives of operators, service companies, and academia to provide a current assessment of the progress, challenges, and opportunities associated with EOR implementation in the Permian Basin.
