Brooke Baum serves as the Vice President of Public & Government Affairs at Devon Energy, where she oversees the company’s state and federal government relations, public policy, sustainability, and external communications. In this executive role, Brooke leads Devon’s strategic engagement with policymakers, regulators, and other stakeholders, ensuring the company’s voice is both heard and influential in conversations that shape the business and energy landscape. She is responsible for shaping and communicating Devon’s sustainability and climate strategy, guiding policy development, and fostering transparent dialogue with external audiences. Since joining Devon in 2013, Brooke has held multifaceted roles spanning land, hedging and market analysis, strategic planning, regulatory and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety). This diverse portfolio of responsibilities has given her a comprehensive, enterprisewide perspective that informs her leadership and strategic decision-making. Brooke earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctor, together with a Certificate in Energy and Natural Resources Law, from Oklahoma City University School of Law. She is admitted to the Oklahoma Bar and is an active member of Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma. Committed to civic engagement, Brooke serves on the Board of Trustees for the Oklahoma City Museum of Art, where she champions initiatives that broaden community access to arts and culture. Brooke and her husband, Brock Baum, reside in Houston, with their three children.
