Betsy Madru joined the Diamondback Energy Government Affairs team in 2018, leveraging her experience in regulatory and legislative strategy. From 2014 to 2018, she served as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Waste Control Specialists, LLC, where she executed a company strategy resulting in successful business dealings in regulatory and legislative environments in Texas and Washington, D.C. She was Legislative Director for Texas State Senator Kel Seliger from 2010 to 2014 and an aide to Commissioner Larry Soward at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. Ms. Madru holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Government and Creative Writing from the University of Redlands and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Government from Johns Hopkins University.
