Mohamed Badawi is Director in Standard Chartered’s Corporate & Investment Banking Business. He is responsible for coverage of the Government, Government Related Entities (GREs) and Large International Corporates in Oman. He has worked very closely with SCB colleagues from ESG & Sustainable Finance Advisory to see the execution of the Oman government’s ESG framework and the frameworks of several other GREs. He joined Standard Chartered in 2007 and has worked in different roles in coverage including coverage of International Corporates, Global Subsidiaries and Islamic Banking coverage. His most recent responsibilities, prior to joining Standard Chartered Oman, was Director in the bank’s Financial Institutions business responsible for coverage of Banks & Broker Dealers in the UAE and the bank’s inbound business from across its network. He holds a Bachelors in Business Management from Athabasca University Canada.
