Marwa Omar is the MENATI Regional Segment Director for Well Construction at Baker Hughes, leading operations across 16 countries to deliver integrated drilling solutions that meet the region’s growing energy demands. With 18 years of cross-industry experience, she began her oil and gas journey 14 years ago as one of the first female field engineers in the Gulf region.

Throughout her career, Marwa has held key technical and leadership roles—including Field & Application Engineer, Engineering Manager, Sales Manager, Key Account Executive, and Regional Product Line Director. She has successfully led multiple technology launches, authored and published 14 industry papers, and was honored with the prestigious HART Energy Award in 2016 for her contributions to the sector.

She is passionate about driving innovation, digital transformation, and operational excellence, and takes pride in managing a diverse business portfolio of technologies and regional footprints. A strong advocate for sustainability, inclusion, and the evolving role of AI in energy, Marwa continues to inspire with her vision and leadership.

An electronics engineer and graduate of the American University in Cairo, she remains a dedicated learner and thought leader in the industry
