Yousef Al-Otaibi is a Senior Petroleum Engineer and Unit Lead of the Completions and Workover Unit in the Gas Field Development Operations Team at Kuwait Oil Company, with extensive experience in Jurassic gas wells. He leads complex well delivery programs across drilling, completion, testing, and production, overseeing large-scale operations ( new wells delivery of about 44 Deep Drilling Rigs and 6 work over of deep Jurassic wells) involving multi-rig portfolios. Yousef is also actively involved in deploying advanced completion and stimulation technologies in HPHT carbonate reservoirs, ( typically HRMA, Acid Fracturing and CO2 Fracturing) with a strong focus on operational efficiency, production optimization, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. He is passionate about leadership development, mentoring young engineers, and driving innovation at the interface of subsurface, completions, and digital transformation.
