Dr. Ridha Gharbi is an experienced petroleum engineer with over 32 years of expertise in the oil and gas industry.  He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Tulsa and both M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.  Dr. Gharbi has made significant contributions to reservoir engineering, enhanced oil recovery (IOR/EOR), and production engineering, with expertise spanning both academia and industry.

Previously, Dr. Gharbi was a full professor and Chair of the Department of Petroleum Engineering at Kuwait University, where he founded the graduate program in petroleum engineering and co-founded a joint graduate program with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences. He has authored over 100 technical papers and received the 2004 OAPEC First Prize Scientific Award for his pioneering work on mature field activation.

Currently, Dr. Gharbi serves as a senior consultant at Kuwait Oil Company, where he is actively involved in several high-impact projects and continues to mentor emerging professionals in the petroleum sector.
