Holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Kuwait University and was the chairperson of the executive committee and vice president of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, Student Chapter. Currently a Board member of the SPE Kuwait Section.
Joined Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) in 2015 and brings over a decade of experience in strategic planning and performance management within the oil and gas sector. With a strong focus on aligning corporate objectives with the national energy goals, Anwar has played a key role in driving initiatives that enhance strategic reporting and contributing towards achieving efficiency and excellence.
Throughout the years, Anwar has heavily contributed to the development of KPC 2040 Strategic Directions and performance strategy maps, supported cross-functional planning efforts, and collaborated closely with leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making. Known for a deep understanding of Kuwait’s energy landscape and a commitment to continuous improvement, Anwar remains a trusted advisor in shaping KPC’s Strategic Directions. Worked as well on Kuwait energy balance (supply/demand), strategy health check, KPC and its subsidiaries Five Year Plans.
