Alaeddine Alaeddine

Alaeddine leads the company’s strategic vision and operations, driving digital transformation across public and private sectors. With over two decades of experience in business leadership and technology innovation, he is a recognized catalyst for progress in the region’s evolving digital economy.

Since joining Microsoft in 2007 as a Partner Account Manager, Alaeddine has held several senior roles across Kuwait and the Gulf, where he has built enduring partnerships with key stakeholders and customers. Prior to his current role, he led Microsoft Gulf’s Retail and Travel industry segment from Dubai, expanding the company’s footprint in one of the region’s most dynamic sectors.

Under his leadership, Microsoft Kuwait has accelerated its alignment with national priorities, including Kuwait Vision 2035 and the emerging National AI Strategy. Alaeddine has spearheaded strategic engagements with the country’s leadership, reinforcing Microsoft’s role as a trusted digital transformation partner. This emerged in a groundbreaking $ 2.7 Billion partnership announcement in March 2025 by which Microsoft establish an AI-Powered Azure Region in Kuwait and supports the country vision of becoming the AI hub for the region.

Through Project Chama and other initiatives, Alaeddine has worked to diversify Kuwait’s economy beyond oil by supporting local startups and enabling entrepreneurship through Microsoft’s cloud and AI platforms. His efforts include establishing a Microsoft-licensed entity under KDIPA to facilitate direct contracts and strategic partnerships with the government.

Alaeddine’s leadership was instrumental in Microsoft’s participation in the 2025 AI Skills Fest, which earned a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the most users to complete an online AI lesson in 24 hours. His commitment to upskilling and digital empowerment continues to shape Microsoft’s mission in Kuwait: to empower every person and every organization to achieve more.

Alaeddine also served as a board member at the American Business council for many years and continue to chair the AmCham Kuwait's IT/Cybersecurity focus group. He actively participates as a keynote speaker at AmCham Kuwait “Future of AI” forum and most of the strategic transformational events taking place in the country.
Earlier in his career, Alaeddine served as International Business Director at Sakhr Software, Marketing Support Manager, and Systems Engineer at the Diwan Al-Amiri Project in Kuwait. He holds a degree in Computer & Communication Engineering from the American University of Beirut and is an active member of the Engineering Society in both Lebanon and Kuwait. He also serves on the Industry Advisory Council at Kuwait University.
