2027 SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference and Exhibition
2–4 February 2027
The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center | The Woodlands, Texas, USA

Hydraulic Fracturing NetworkingOn behalf of the program committee, I am delighted to announce that the SPE Hydraulic Fracturing Technology Conference (HFTC) will be held on February 2-4, 2027, in The Woodlands, Texas, USA. HFTC continues to be the leading event dedicated to the science and execution of hydraulic fracturing bringing together operators, service companies, researchers, and technology providers to share practical learnings and the latest advances that improve well performance, reliability, and safety.

Building on the success of previous conferences, the 2027 program will emphasize how teams are translating innovation into repeatable results in the field through disciplined planning, efficient pad execution, robust supply-chain and logistics strategies, and data-driven decisions made in real time. We will feature insightful presentations and publications, distinguished panels, and a vibrant exhibition floor. With more than 3,000 industry leaders and peers expected to attend, HFTC remains a premier venue to benchmark performance, share lessons learned, and build the cross-discipline relationships that turn good ideas into better operations.

We will kick off the conference with the Steve Holditch Plenary session, where leaders will discuss the technologies and operating practices shaping the next chapter of hydraulic fracturing. The Plenary session also typically features an SPE Legends of Hydraulic Fracturing Award. The technical sessions that follow will feature paper presentations on the latest technology and applications of hydraulic fracturing.

Areas of special interest for the 2027 conference include operational excellence and execution, fracturing techniques and technologies, diagnostics and modeling, digital workflows and automation, case studies that quantify performance improvements, and environmental & regulatory challenges in conventional and unconventional formations around the world. The program committee will request abstract submissions to help develop a technical program grounded in measurable results and transferable field practices.

Following the strong engagement in recent years, we will continue the three full-day format in 2027, with extended networking breaks designed to keep technical conversations connected to the exhibition floor. We will also continue our strategic alignment with the American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) as part of advancing HFTC and strengthening the link between geomechanics, diagnostics, and day-to-day completion execution.

Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for this premier event on February 2-4, 2027, in The Woodlands, Texas, USA!
