Marco Toninelli

Marco Toninelli holds a Master in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan and a High School Diploma from Harborfield High School of New York.
He joined Saipem in 1986 occupying various positions, with experiences ranging from offshore constructions, civil infrastructures, project management, procurement, maintenance engineering and asset management.
In September 2006 he took the position of Assets Senior Vice President of Saipem Spa, managing a world class fleet of construction vessel and on shore equipment at the service of the Oil & Gas Industry. From 2007 to 2011 he was in charge of an investment plan for the renovation of the fleet, with an expenditure value in excess of 8 billion euro.
He has served as Chairman of E.R.S. bv. (Holland), Chairman of S.P.C.M. Lda. (Portugal), Member of the boards of Boscongo s.a.(Congo), Saibos CML Lda (Portugal), Kwanda L.da (Angola), Frigstad Ltd (Singapore), Saipem (Beijing) Technical Services (China). He was also Chairman of Energy Maintenance Services SpA (Italy) from 2003 to 2007 and Chairman of Moss Maritime (Norway) from 2006 to 2008.
From 2011 to 2016 he held the position at Eniservizi (part of Eni) of Senior Vice President of Real Estate Assets, in charge of development of all new real estate investments.
In March 2016 he rejoined Saipem and to cover from May 2017 the position of Offshore Drilling Chief Operating Officer and from December 2020 also the position of Onshore Drilling Chief Operating Officer. From January 2022 to June 2024 he covers the position of Chief Operating Officer Asset Based Services. Presently he also serves as director of the board of KCA Deutag, a British drilling, engineering and technology company working onshore and offshore.
Since July 2024 he held the position of Saipem Drilling Chief Operating Officer.
