Mr. Zepic graduated from the University of Leoben, Austria, with a degree in Mining. He began his career as a consultant for industries in Western Europe, focusing primarily on environmental management and construction and operation permitting. After a decade, he joined Rio Tinto, one of the world’s largest mining companies, where he gained extensive experience as an underground mine and plant manager, as well as an HSE manager in Europe and Asia. He specialized in emergency and crisis management.

In 2008, Mr. Zepic joined OMV, where he held several HSSE leadership roles, including HSSE Business Partner for Exploration and Production. In 2022, he was appointed Vice President HSSE. One of his initial tasks in this role was to develop a new HSSE strategy that reflects the evolving business environment and OMV’s transformation into an integrated, sustainable oil, gas, and chemical industry.
