Dr. Fawaz K Bitar FREng (Fuzzy)   Senior Vice President Health, Safety, Environment & Carbon, bp  fuzzybitar@outlook.com | +44(0)7824758181  |linkedin.com/in/fuzzybitar  Fawaz (Fuzzy) has been with bp for over 35 years and has undertaken various leadership positions  across the globe, including the UK, US, Azerbaijan, Colombia, Egypt, and Indonesia. Previously, he  was the Head of the Upstream Executive Office, following seven years as bp’s Head of Global  Operations. In March 2020 he was appointed Senior Vice President for HSE & carbon.   Fuzzy has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Newcastle University and a Doctorate from the  University of Aberdeen in the application of human performance in safety management systems.  He completed executive education programmes at London Business School and INSEAD.  Fuzzy is an honorary professor at the University of Aberdeen and Brunell University, London. He  is a fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and was the Chairman of the International  Association of Oil and Gas Producers (IOGP). Presently, he chairs the Aker BP and BPX board sub committees for safety and environment assurance and serves as a member of the McKinsey Crisis  Advisory Board.  Fuzzy is widely recognized for exceptional operational leadership and a proven track record in  driving transformational performance. A sought-after authority in safety, sustainability, and  operations excellence, Fuzzy brings deep expertise in advising organizations across diverse  sectors, including aviation, mining, military, pharmaceuticals, and energy.
