With more than 25 years of diversified experience, Elie Lahoud, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Petrofac Emirates LLC and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Petrofac Engineering and Construction (E&C) has led the development of high value multidiscipline EPC projects for onshore upstream and downstream oil and gas facilities, as well as offshore capital
projects and renewable energy infrastructure.
Elie joined Petrofac at its main hub in Sharjah in 1997. Under his leadership, Petrofac has executed numerous successful multibillion dollar projects in many countries with a large portfolio of renowned national and international clients.
In 2019 Elie was appointed CEO of Petrofac Emirates LLC and has been instrumental in steering the company’s strategy to align with the new energy outlook. He was appointed COO of Petrofac’s global E&C business in 2020, reporting to the Group Chief Executive with overall accountability for delivery of E&C projects driving business value to all stakeholders.
As a member of Petrofac’s Group Executive Committee since 2017, Elie has been supporting the development of a diverse and inclusive culture at Petrofac since his early days. He has been the executive sponsor for several business initiatives aimed at developing the competencies of Petrofac’s talent while maintaining and growing the organisation’s competitiveness, such as the E&C Digital Transformation initiative, Delivery Assured Programme, Future Think Tank, Evolve25 initiative and Petrofac American University of Beirut (AUB) Masters Programme.
Elie also sits on the International Advisory Board for the faculty of engineering of AUB from where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, strengthening the collaboration between both organisations to provide continuous opportunities to distinguished talent.
