Dave Fargie is process safety engineering specialist in bp with 37 years of experience in upstream, refining and petrochemicals. Building on a foundation of process engineering roles in operational and design settings, for the last 22 years Dave has specialised in upstream process safety, advising projects and operations globally across a range of process safety and major hazard topics, as well as developing process safety engineering practice both in-house and at an industry level.  Dave is an IChemE Fellow and Professional Process Safety Engineer, and formally chaired the IOGP process safety subcommittee during the development the IOGP Process Safety Fundamentals.
